Pumpkin Carving and Chili Cookoff

Trudi's next door neighbor, DJ, had a pumpkin carving/chili cookoff party today and we joined in. Variety of chili, all very good. Eddie won the pumpkin carving contest with the big toothed grin and we won 3rd prize with the only one with ears. Lots of fun and great food and company.

I wasn't peeved, just surprised. We are having chili again tonight. We left most of our chili there and scooped a cup out of each entry, which included a buffalo chicken, white bean (Eddie's), venison, I am going to cook some swiss chard in the chili just before serving (Cami trick). E

Yes and only cook for a couple minutes to wilt. We like it that way and it's very healthy. You can use other greens as well. E

Elizabeth, I just want you to know that I do enjoy your Blogs....and especially the Pumpkins. Also, I think I am going to try the Chard with Chili. I had not heard about that. Thanks for sharing.
