Wood Heater for Pool Redo

Frank cutting the pipes.
Frank threading the pipes.
Finished with pipes.
New insulation and flashing cover.

We have been working on the wood heater whose copper pipes froze last winter, so we replaced them with galvanized and new insulation and cover. Frank cut and threaded most of the pipes (we did buy some standard sized already cut). It was a lot of work and we have yet to try it out. The pool is staying at 80* and we know we have to be here to moniter it and you know how busy we are.

Making New Kitchen Curtains

A friend gave me some curtains several years ago and since I needed new kitchen curtains, I got them out. They were floor length so I cut the bottom off to make valances (already hemmed) and used the top for the door and cafe curtains. I ironed in a hem, then used the hem stitch on my machine. They turned out pretty good.

Garden

My garden is doing great. I watered a couple of times but we have had just enough rain lately. We are getting some yellow squash, onions, kale and turnip greens and Swiss Chard. It will be a while before we get corn, beans, okra, potatoes and tomatoes.

Chocolate covered strawberries/Mexican restaurant

I found some pictures of Richard's Graduation and since Karen had posted most of them, I thought I would show you the strawberries I made for his hangar party. They were very good.

Crock Pot Apple Butter from Dried Apples

I made a batch of apple butter from dried apples, sort of like T's and it turned out great.

July 4th

We had a nice cookout and fireworks for the 4th of July
