Pumpkin Carving and Chili Cookoff

Trudi's next door neighbor, DJ, had a pumpkin carving/chili cookoff party today and we joined in. Variety of chili, all very good. Eddie won the pumpkin carving contest with the big toothed grin and we won 3rd prize with the only one with ears. Lots of fun and great food and company.

New Bridge

This is the progress we have made on the new bridge across the branch. We still need to put rails up on the post and are going to do that next week with some long tree poles. Will post again when finished.

Last of garden

This is about the last of the vegetables from this year's garden and some late gladiolus from the field. That is Swiss Chard, peppers, tomatoes and butternut squash, I think. I have not cooked any yet.

Frank's "New" Truck

We bought this Jeep Comanche from Ted. It has a long wheelbase and will be useful for hauling things around. That is Zippy having a look. We have arranged for all 7 of our resident kittens to be spayed or neutered this next week. We have the latest 4, three tigers and a Zippy look-alike named Zipper, plus a pretty black and white we named Sylvester and another tiger from a different mom and then Zippy. We are going to keep them and only them.
