Trees from yard
The trees in the front yard were beginning to rot and were always a mess with brittle limbs and such. Even so, it was a little bittersweet to see them coming down. The first two have been there almost 55 years, and seedling come up everywhere, a few have been allowed to stay. Just a few pictures to see the before and after. We love the new view, I will of course do something with the stumps and probably spend a few weeks cleaning up the brush and storing firewood. We have found it burns very well in our woodstove.

wow! that is different! thru the years, i've mentioned the "stink trees" in conversation.....always that is met with strange stares because no one else seems to call them that!
love, k
The tree service man that cut them did know them by that name, probably because he is local.
You're right about that being bittersweet...I remember when Karen and I were swinging on a branch of that one to the left and the branch broke...and we were so afraid to tell Daddy...and I don't know anyone else that calls them stink trees either...I think they're really some kind of rubber tree...
Love,
T
